Winter embraces a minimalist spirit.
She paints her vision with a broad brush,
striking out extraneous detail.
Form stands out in stark relief and sometimes,
negative space tells the story.
Winter's color palette may be rich or subtle,
but is always limited in its variety.
Winter is a minimalist's dream.

A wonderful take on winter ... I had not thought of it this way.
ReplyDeleteSoothing and stirring at the same time. I hadn't thought that to be a possible combination. You are making the absolute best of minimal resources.
ReplyDeleteNature is so wonderful...whatever the season. I love your winter images.
ReplyDeleteLovely captures which are both simple and extremely expressive. A very Zen-like quality comes through. I love the feel of the last photo, the paler out of focus stalks in the background, the movement that the bent stalks give in the foreground and the hint of grasses on the right. This all stands out so well against the soft blue of the sky.
ReplyDeleteThis is a calming picture and would look lovely enlarged to put up on a wall in your home.
Wonderful... you really captured winter here.
ReplyDelete( I'm feeling a nice fire and a hot cup of coffee to keep me warm.) :]
