Lensbaby Love Blog Circle: May

I've mentioned that I'm working on a macro floral project depicting
the color spectrum of the rainbow.
My last blog post highlighted the color yellow using my 100mm lens.

Today, let's look at my Lensbaby versions of the simple,
yet elegant, pale yellow carnation.

The Lensbaby adds a charm to any subject that appeals to me.

Next, please follow the link in our Lensbaby Love Blog Circle
to the inspiring work of Ana Rosenberg.
Enjoy!

  1. Very different from your other interpretations, Anna, but with their own special kind of beauty and added softness which is very appealing. That first shot really draws me in! Beautiful!

    1. Thanks for always finding the time to comment here, Sandra! I appreciate your insights. Yes, the LB can add an element of painterly softness, especially when used with a wide aperture, as I did in these images.

  5. Anna, I so love this project idea that I may have to "borrow" it from you! This yellow set is a beautiful study in form, texture and tone. I love that I know it's a flower, but yet it is so abstract as to be contemplative. Very sensitively done!

    1. Thanks much, Victoria! With the LB and a wide aperture the macro world can become surprisingly abstract. I enjoy that.
