The Bells of Ireland

The world outside my window is looking pretty white, of late.
But, my florist helped remedy that with these gems,
the Bells of Ireland.

I had a lot of fun with their graceful curves and distinctive veining!

Happy creating to you.

  2. What wonderful curves and folds and details shown on the leaves. I'd never heard of the Bells of Ireland plant before and had to look them up to see them as a whole. I first thought I was looking at artistic portrayals of cabbage leaves. The structure is similar. I love how you've captured the 'mood' of these leaves with their graceful folds and points and prominent veins. It's always interesting to see a new plant. The name is lovely too!

    1. Thank you for your comment, Sandra! Always appreciated! This plant was new to me, too. It's always great and challenging to work with a subject that you don't "know", or haven't seen done a zillion times..... Love that.
