Gentle Evening

The storm cleared in the evening ~

rising mist, amazing light, and insane mosquitoes.

The lighting, the scene,

it reminded me of paintings by the Hudson River School.

Long ago, I determined that not all light is created equal.

Wishing you boat loads of amazing light,

and no mosquitoes!

Unfolding

The ferns in our woods are now tall and luxurious,

but I do love their early unfolding forms.
